Dr. Alyson Manthei was born and raised in Wisconsin. Dr. Manthei grew up loving animals and science which developed into a passion for problem solving, medicine, and caring for puppies and kittens of all ages.
Dr. Manthei attended the University of Wisconsin, in Madison for undergrad then was accepted into their veterinary program. Dr. Manthei received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin in 2014. In June of 2015, she moved to Chicago and has fallen in love with all the city has to offer. She is the newest associate to join the Riser family and has been a wonderful asset to the team.
Dr. Manthei is very interested in internal medicine, dermatology, and infectious diseases but loves all aspects of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Manthei shares her home with a very cute, sassy 6 year old Holland Lop Rabbit, Eleanor. In her spare time she enjoys trying all the delicious Chicago restaurants with her fiance Ian. She also loves relaxing and spending time with friends and family, especially her niece Gigi and nephew William.
